Welcome to our

Sidcup Motorcycle Training Branch

The UK’s 1st MCIAC Gold Standard Quality Motorcycle Training school. The
training site is at Foots Cray, Sidcup and is London’s only purpose built
motorcycle training centre with an off highway road network for safe learning. Its
easily accessible by both public transport and car. Parking is available on site.

Training is given on a range of new Honda bikes, for CBT and full licence
categories, manual or automatic and is open 7 days a week, allowing you to
training when you want to.

We are proud to also offer short-notice Motorcycle Training.

CBT: Compulsory Basic Training

Range of Services

We offer CBT, Fast Track and Fill Licence Motorcycle Training.

Fast Track Training, Sidcup – 3 days

  • 1st day: Getting used to the bigger bike & training for Module 1 test
  • 2nd day: Road riding ready for Module 2 test
  • 3rd day: Back-to-back tests of Modules 1 and 2

Manual & Automatic

We have a brand new fleet of manual and automatic bikes.

Full Licence Training

Fast track or spread out, see below what our Full Licence Course, Sidcup consists of.

  • CBT

    • Module 1: Off Road Training and Test
    • Module 2: On Road Training and Test

Do you supply the bikes?

Yes, we have a fleet of new bikes for you to use on the day of your training.

You will need a strong pair of shoes or boots (not trainers) and suitable clothing for the weather conditions.

What do I need to bring for my training?

You will need to bring with you your UK or NI driving licence, which must be current.

What is a CBT and what can I ride once I have completed it.

The courses normally start at 08:30 and the CBT consists of unlimited training until you reach a safe standard of on-road riding. and is usually completed in one day.

Do I need a Motorcycle Theory and Hazard Perception Test before my CBT Course?

No your CBT just qualifies you as a learner for a two year period and as such you do NOT need to take a theory test

Can I ride a motorcycle with clutch and gears if I took my CBT on an automatic?

First, check that your licence shows Category A provisional. If so, you can ride a 125cc machine for as long as your CBT certificate lasts.

I took my CBT on an automatic scooter. Can I ride a motorcycle with clutch and gears?

Yes, provided you comply with the age and engine size/power restrictions mentioned above, the CBT is normally valid for either type of transmission.
